It is a Long-billed Dowitcher, i found 1 earlier on hamilton mountain and had the same porblem identifying it so i'll go with what my expert friends told me how can tell Long-billed, in spring the Long-billed has barring on the sides which not see onj short-billed, also the black v's along the bottom sides of the bird in spring are definite clue to Long-billed. Also the shoulder feathers have white bottom edges, short-billed don't have this. For the final reason why Long-billed that was what was posted by a friend of mine at Blenheim
