This morning I went to the Stormwater pond in Hamilton after hearing reports of an American Avocet present.

I saw the American Avocet as well as many others:

Ruddy Turnstone
Great Egret (possibly nesting)
Solitary Sandpiper
Spotted Sandpiper
Dunlin
Blue-winged Teal
Several Red-tailed Hawks

There are currently 2 Ruddy Turnstones in the area. One is present at the Stormwater pond, and the other is in the Hamilton Harbour on the 1st island with trees.

Sorry for not posting directions.

Directions:
Take QEW Niagara eastbound exit at the red hill expressway. You will see some construction on the off ramp. About 0.5km after the construction, there is a small opening on the side of the road that leads into a fenced area. Be very careful, there is a high amount of traffic in the area.
