small flock of cedar waxwings last couple of days at  kingston and old kingston rd, also killdeers and  a ruby throated observed. plenty of standard  birds , rwb, flickers, rth,cards,/bj, orioles,3 types of swallows, tvs, chipping sparrow, kingfisher, kingbirds, solitary sandpipers,,, unfortunately   some people had a  load of fun destroying the  beaver dam that encompasses the  large swamp that house this  marvellous spot, did a major repair on friday to the  dam to save as much of it as possible. hard to watch it as  its a hangout for  kids at night, gonna get rich if i sell the  mt  beer bottles littering the area, doing  my part to keep this place pristine  but fighting a losing battle.hopefully by  monday i can find whom to  contact to lend assistance in  either  patroling  it  or finding a solution to   stop the  destruction of a gem of  nature in the  city,, enjoy your finds,  good birding

Sad! Have you considered calling the city? It's probably aganst city or provncial law to be damaging habitat so deliberately. If your councillor's office Is any good they will help find the right cntact info. That's an impressive list of birds and an important habitat so I hope they'd do something.

Things like this really make me sad.  What is wrong with people?  Where is the joy in what they have done?  As well, why litter?  Hell, even in my heavy drinking teenage and early 20's days we always took our empties back with us (there's money in that glass, plus it's just not nice to litter) and any garbage.  The worst we ever did was have a garbage can fire in the parks through the night...  probably not the smartest thing to do, open flame, intoxicated bunch, but we never hurt anyone, anything.

There must be someone to call.  Even have the cops be aware this is turning into a spot of over night drinking and whatever else.  I remember how some cops just loved busting us...  walking away with our beer cases, cooler, whiskey bottles, etc.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

call the local cop station and ask for dispatch and tell them your concerns so they will send a patrol to the park ...

Birding takes my mind off stuff and it adds good life to a tuff life. It also helps me forget about my spine pain and stress.  Laugh, eat, be merry.  Anybody with extra $ may send me some as It will permit me to travel.
