That's interesting. I know there's all sort of reports and rumours about cougars in Ontario but it's cool to see there's finally some hard evidence.

Unfortunately to protect them, we need to understand more about the population here in Ontario...and that means studying them...

Stuart is VERY passionate about protecting cougars in Ontario...actually everywhere...and he has tremendous knowledge and understanding of cougars. I'm inclined to trust his judgment. I  hope the government considers limited permits to use dogs to track cougars for research.

@Axeman: You be right about Stuart Kenn but I have to agree with Bird Brain that "track them down with dogs" was a poor choice of words. It's exactly the sort of thing someone who wanted to get rid of them would say. Maybe that's more the fault of the journalist though...
