I spent the weekend camping in Awenda Park (will report on that later) and passed Wasaga on my way home to see the Piping Plovers. There is one pair roosting on four eggs and a bachelor (third bird) is also seen on and off. Apparently a first nest was deserted, so this is the second batch of eggs and chicks will therefore not appear for another 1-2 weeks.
The site is easily accessible at the base of Spruce Street, where volunteers will be happy to show you the birds (from 9am-9pm). There are even scopes on the site as a service to the public.
