I have been seeing a doe and 2 fawns regularly in our yard since early July. The fawns of course are very cute and playful. This past week however, I have only spotted the fawns. And I have noticed them straying fairly far from the brush that they usually shelter in, again, without their mother.
I'm just wondering if deer let their young wander far from them or is it possible that something has happened to the doe? (I haven't noticed any deer kill on the surrounding roads.
