There was pretty much acitivty at and near the beach at Rondeau this evening. There were Sanderlings in worn breeding plumage and 3 Semipalmated Sandpipers that confused me as the were all grey above. Does anybody know if this is worn breeding plumage or winter plumage already? Also lots of Common Terns, which I guess are postbreeders as the terns I see down here during breeding seasons almost exclusively are Foster's Terns.

The Purple Martins seem to have had a good breeding seasons as lots of juveniles were sitting in dead trees.
Also had Red-headed Woodpecker and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher.

Nice list, though I'm surprised at the lack of Herring Gull!

There might have been Herring Gulls there too, I didn't have my telescope along so I could only ID the Gulls close to the shore.
