I have been spending a bit of time on the south east shore of the Rice lake area, I have seen several wood ducks, pied billed grebes, quite a few great blue herons, yellow rumped warblers, green winged teals, I am fairly new at birding(really new actually:) so there are a few I havent gotten decent pictures of and havent id yet, but I am working on it. I have seen an immature bald eagle there once. I am keeping my eye open for it. I have talked to some people there and there have been a couple of eagles seen in the area. There are plenty of osprey there as well. This blue winged teal was taken in Port Hope down at the lake, south east of the esco factory off hwy 2.
