So a pair of Kingbirds decided to build a nest on one of the trucks we have at work.
It's not the best place to call home. It's at the side of the exhaust stack, out in the open, exposed to all day sun, rain and anything else Mother Nature decides to throw at them.
She laid 3 eggs, and they all hatched on Monday, but as of today only 2 young remain.
It'll be fun to watch these young grow up.
Mom is pretty tolerant of people, given where the nest is, she doesn't have much of a choice, but every once in a while she decides to pop out her orange feathers and start going for peoples heads, myself included. I guess orange really does mean caution.
Thanks for looking.
