The Loons of Balsam Lake

Very Special Thanks to Mike (mkybear) for taking me to Balsam Lake today.
I had never even seen a Loon before today.
They are absolutely beautiful, and to be able to get so close to them is an experience I will never forget.

Great series, looks like you had an awesome time with the loons, especially for your first encounter.

I didn't realize you hadn't seen a loon before. I'm so glad you got the chance. And some great pics too.

Thanks everyone,
For my fist experience seeing them it was awesome.
They were so close and gave great views and photo opportunities.
One of my new favorite birds.
