Message from Cheryl Edgecombe via Hamilton Birds:
Jacob Bruxer just phoned to inform me of a couple of Eared Grebes at Townsend Sewage Lagoons, he did not specify which cell and his phone ran out of juice.
Just informing the people.
Directions: From Hwy 6, south of Hagersville, and about a kilometre north of
Jarvis, watch for a sign that says "Townsend" on your right and follow this
paved road to the four-way stop. Turn left and follow it about 1.5
kilometers to Concession 14, the house with the kid's playhouse in the front
yard with the A/C will be on the corner of this intersection. Follow it
about a kilometre to the lagoon gates on your right.
Anyone in the area should get out and see them, they may not be there long. The directions are from an OFO posting from 6 years ago, I have no idea where the birds are.... I am just reporting, I did not actually see them.
