Beautiful and crisp shots as always :)
did you happen to see any young grebes around? I was there yesterday and "thought" i might have seen some but when I walked around to the boating area they had disappeared, I'm thinking the gloomy weather and the threat of rain made them hide for cover.

Irene, I didn't check the inner waters at Sam Smith. I took a walk out to the point and back. I only saw 4 adult Grebes.

I think the other duck is a Mallard, male eclipse, the body doesn't look dark enough for a Black Duck.
