2 Great Blue herons, a couple of wood ducks. We never did make it out to the Hawk Watch :( My friend had to get home to feed his dog in Niagara)

Thanks Colin, the heron was not easy to see, it was hidden in the back of the fenced in area of the middle pond where all the murky/icky water was.

Hi Irene, nice pic.
There were lots of people at the hawk watch to record all the hawks but I can assure you no one left the hill with a picture of a green heron--no wonder you're excited & thanks for showing it to the rest of us.

Great find Irene.
This little Heron is always in that pond. I find him whenever I go. The problem is he normally takes off just after the sun rises and before there is enought light to  shoot. So I can never photograph him.
Lucky you to find him in the middle of the day.
Great shot!
