I visited Newfoundland in the latter part of August. I was a little disappointed in that many sea birds had migrated however,
I did get to see some life birds and I quite enjoyed myself. I thought I'd share some of my captures.

1. The rock at Cape St. Mary's with thousands of Northern Ganets and their offspring

2. Northern Ganet

3. Northern Ganet protecting offspring on cliff

4. Common Murre

5. Immature Black-legged Kittiwakes

6. Black-legged Kittiwake-Immature with adult

7. Atlantic Puffins

Nice pictures!
I'm guessing you meant migrated instead of hibernated  :D

Amazing Vince! My favourite is #2.  What equipment are you/did you use?

Thanks everyone for your comments.
Cody, I use a Nikon D90 with a Sigma 150-500. I find it quite good in most circumstances providing the lighting is good. Then I really want a fixed F4 500 but I have to sell my car first. lol

Very nice - love the gannet and especially with the young.  High on my list of places to go.

if you've never been to Nfld, its an amazing place.
the gannets are ridiculous. the boat tour to see the puffins and murrhes is worth it.
saw two bald eagles (one while hiking)

i was supposed to go this summer to photograph the puffins but couldn't get a flight. :(
