At 4pm today I had 8 Golden Crowned Kinglet's in my backyard, and neighbour's backyards. The birds were very active as usual and came very close to my house in my backyard bushes. They found some insects to eat, but were quickly scared away by my backyard chipmunk.
The flew off heading deeper in to Niagara. Anyone in the far eastern parts of Grimsby, Beamsville, Vineland and anywhere else in Niagara close to the Escarpment should be on the look out for these birds. They are quick and get scared easily.
