For the past year, I've seen what appears to be a merlin come and hunt on the Stoufville Rd exit off the 404. It seems to come to this area in the fall/winter.
If you are heading northbound on the 404 and taking the exit, look at the lights leading to the exit or look on the juvenile trees on the patch of grass that's between the exit and the highway. i see it there almost every day, hunting.
