Hey

A funny thing happened today while we were heading up to Tiny township for fall cleanup and closedown. Here we are clipping along Side Road 3 and 4

Sunnidale Just South of Hwy 26 when I spot a hawk Hovering above the rd. I'm thinking this could be a Rough leg so we both are looking up at it as we pass

underneath it. That's when it happened. Each time the hawk would move it wings during its hover,  camera like flashes appeared from the mid point of its

wings underside. I said to my wife you saw that right.

Reflection off our windshield? Hood? I dunno

It was a Red Tail Hawk.  "Maybe a photo radar Hawk"

Not much going on at the beach, a bunch of Jays a few Chickadee's. Lots of Smoke from burning leaves. There is snow on the runs a Blue, we watched a Lake effect storm engulf the whole Blue mountain/collingwood area today around 3:00 pm  ish.

On further reflection...my wife would have replied, "saw what??"

I've actually seen quite a few hawks (mostly redtails) during the past week. I was sitting in the car, in my driveway, waiting for my lady love (for a change!) when a large shadow passed across the hood. I opened the sunroof in time to see a large redtail about twenty feet above me. Unfortunately I don't take the heavy duty camera gear shopping or I might have gotten some pretty good shots! I'm about fifteen miles from the lakeshore and I'm still seeing raptors flying overhead on a westward heading so I assume they are part of the fall migration.
