Black-bellied Plover

While photographing the Reddish Egret at Fort DeSoto Park, I noticed a shorebird beside him.  I was focused on the Egret, but did take a few shots and Reuven has identified it as a black-bellied plover, another first for me.  There were a couple of these along my walk.

I'm enjoying your Ft DeSoto portfolio. Guess you have something bigger than my point and shoot camera! Did you get a closeup of the woodstork? If not I'll post one.

Thanks for the comments guys.  I didn't see any wood storks at Fort DeSoto, but did see a large group at Celery Fields with about 28 Roseate Spoonbills.  The first day I went, both birds never took their bills out of the water, so I have a lot of bent over shots  When I went to Florida in March I took so many shots of the Wood Storks, that I made myself pull back a bit this trip.  I have an IF, and some wading shots, but no close-up ... so post away!
