Owl population is very low this year. Only managed to find two total. It was darn cold and windy today, but still managed a nice outing.

Snowy owl taking shelter from the wind and maybe just resting on the Kingston Field Naturalist property

its a shame to say it, but after the last few years, maybe its best that Amhurst has a quiet year and, possibly, fewer visitors.

nice pics tho

Was that you that my wife and I met?  We're the Chinese couple.

Other than lots of Roughies, Red-Tails and Harriers, we got a nice Red-Bellied WP by the feeders.

I was at Amherst a couple weeks ago and didn't find a single owl as was the case with everyone else we talked to that day.

Yes Kin, I hope I didn't startle your wife when I came up behind you.

Lots of voles there this year, thus lots of Hawks but as you say not many owls.
