Saw Whet & Barred Owl
on:
December 30, 2010, 08:50:01 PM
Finally saw my first owls of the season today. The Barred Owl image was taken around 4:30 at the side of the road, so not the greatest. Barbed wire kept him a good distance away.

The barred owl doesn't look shy at all. Congrats on your owls.

Nice captures, Saw Whets are so cute aren't they? Hubby calls them furbies

I did not spot the Saw Whet at the side of the road. I'd have to leave these eyes to science if that were the case
I saw the Barred Owl in a field surrounded by barbed wire as I was driving by.
