There is no reason to suspect the fish kill is linked, and the jackdaws in Sweden wouldn't even have been publicized if it wasn't for the reports from the US.
Remember that these blackbirds are often in dense flocks numbering in the hundreds of thousands to millions, so 5000 doesn't seem like a strange for a whole flock taking off at night. Probably someone being irresponsible with fireworks.

It's equally true to say that there is no reason NOT to suspect the fish kills are related...the fact is, no one has a clue why either one is happening...and as far as the Jackdaws in Sweden, whether it's published or not, it happened and is an extraordinary occurence for them too....

I'm wondering if there is any link between the birds and the fish and the UFO's spotted in China.

UFO IN CHINA???? DO YOU HAVE ANY MORE DETAILS ABOUT THIS? I follow pscican time to time but why would you think a UFO would have something to do with these events?

To suggest that these are linked is absurd.  What is that guy an expert on?  He hosts a late night radio show on the paranormal.  He's not a biologist.  

Funny.  An unusual event occurs and now suddenly people are paying attention to die-offs that occur all the time.

Thanks for the update and link, Frank. I can't say I'm surprised, though. It seems always at the root of mass animal/bird deaths or even the untimely demise of just one , there's a human involved.

Re: die offs being common and people paying attention now....ummm....I think that while die offs do happen from time to time, there was an unusual cluster of these events and with the initial die off on New Years, there was evidence of truama...suggesting that it was not a natural occurrence...I think it's a natural thing for people to pay attention to an event that is unusual...even though it's happened in the past...we become concerned about beached whales...

I think it's a healthy thing for us to be interested and aware...there is nothing served by commenting that this happens all the time etc.

As for my suggestion that there was a link between the UFO's in China and the bird deaths...umm....switch to decaf....I was KIDDING !  :P
