Both were seen at around 3:30 PM today. The shrike was going back and forth between the tops of pines on either side of the peninsula, and the harrier (juvenile) was flushed from the southern end by someone ahead of me and headed north to hug the ground of the small western peninsula before I lost sight of it.
I was too excited by the harrier's appearance (it and the shrike are both firsts for me) that I didn't want to risk losing sight of it switching from my binoculars to camera, but I did get a decent shot of the shrike:

Otherwise I only saw a male kestrel and a couple of chickadees. No sign of the snowy owl, but I did see a couple of others who I think were looking for it on the marina.
