I spent some time in Mississauga's Meadow Wood Park (a small park between Rattray Marsh and Petro Canada grounds) looking for the long eared owl that I saw earlier last week.

No luck with the owl, but the highlight of the weekend was a trumpeter swan (tagged C24) on the lake very close to the shore. Also many common golden eyes, greater & lesser scaups, buffleheads, redheads, countless mallards, american wigeon and a few mute swans.  In the northern section of the park I saw 5 or 6 blue jays, over 15 cedar wax wings sharing a tree, many black capped chickadees, at least 5 downy woodpeckers, one juvenile red-tailed hawk and several goldfinches.

Trumpeter with lunch below:

Awesome!  :D

Would you please be kind enough to report your Trumpeter Swan sighting to the following site.  Only takes a minute and they appreciate it!  Thanks.

I was just about to ask you about that link Jo-Anne...  we spotted 4 tagged Trumpeters in Port Credit on Saturday.  I was hoping to see E76 from last year but he wasn't in the mix.  I'll be reporting these tonight or tomorrow.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

Hi Rob.  Cool!  8)  That's a great location for swan sightings.

Didn't get to see your favourite guy, eh?  Which letters/numbers tags did you and Angie see?

I reported them last night.  We saw 6 Trumpeters and 4 were tagged...  E78, A68, E27 and E90.  If I get a phone call back, I will inquire about E76 out of curiosity.
