This morning, 60 Crows flew over our neighbourhood. (Bathurst/Sheppard area) I was amazed, because for the past few years I've see ones or twos.

In the afternoon, we headed to High Park. Down by the pond, we found 2 male Red-Winged Blackbirds, yelling their konk-krees at each other. (These birds mean Spring to me.) There also was a White-throated Sparrow. And, I saw 9 Crows fly over the pond.

Next, we headed to Humber Bay Park East.  There were Hooded, Red-breasted and Common Mergansers, and Buffleheads, Long-tailed Ducks, Ruddy Ducks, Common Goldeneyes, a Redhead, 2 Trumpeter Swans, an American Coot, and Gadwalls.

At Humber Bay West, there were Lesser Scaup and another 2 Coots, more Hooded Mergansers, Buffleheads, Readheads, Long-tailed Ducks and Gadwalls.

A beautiful day to be out birding!

Was in High Pk. in am. and saw a continuous flight of crows streaming N.E. that would take them to Bathurst and Sheppard and then as well a flight of Grackles. Lost count of crows at 60 plus when we headed into the greenhouse.

Good spotting! Never leave your bins at home.
