Tell me why does there have to always be that one twig or branch that you just cannot line up out of the camera view.

Nice shots of a beautiful owl. I couldn't agree with you more. I rarely get a clean shot. Sometimes finding them is more rewarding than the shot itself.

It seems to be Murphy's Law of bird photography and also why the phrase "nice environmental shot" was coined :)

now thats funny halton.  The barred maybe would stick around for that but this long ear i'm thinking he might flush
