How lucky is that .. and so cuddly. We check every tree trunk with holes but have never been lucky to see one of these little bundles. Nice photos !!!

Great shots. I've definitely heard this guy but have been unable to find him. What a great choice of tree - the feathers and bark are a perfect match!

not sure if this picture does the owl justice (you really need a picture without a zoom lens to appreciate it), but this is a wider view
they are really difficult to see.

Beautiful photos of a super cute owl.
Amazing how it blends in with the tree bark. Apparently they sometimes disguise themselves as tree branches as well! :shock:
