Don't know what it is, Spring in the air or ????  The few feathered I have encountered allowed me to get pretty darn close to them.  The Redpoll sure seems to be going for a model pose on the feeder and I was less than 10 ft from him.  The Shrike was singing in Col Sam Smith, in the bushes...  those darn branches got in the way...  ha ha!  I am taking advantage of these visitors presence while they are still here.  I recon they will be leaving us anytime now, eh.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

I would never have thought it myself (to get so close to one).  A month ago I thought I was still never going to see a Shrike.  Crossing my fingers for one more visit with him before he heads north.  He does head north, right?  Someone argued with me that he is probably going to be a resident.
