Nice picture of a Gadwall couple. You can identify the male by the speckled greyish body with black rear end and both male and female has a white speculum (the squarish spot on duck wings), while Black Duck has purple speculum and Mallard blue speculum bordered with white. Black Duck male also has a yellow bill.
