Are they still going back and forth between the nests?
Yes.
The pre-dawn vocalizations ought to be a good way to figure out which one they're really intent on using. Maybe they weren't happy with the first one, I'm not sure if Coopers will construct multiple nests normally or not, perhaps they do and choose the one the female likes the best.
Tomorrow morning, I'm on my way to YYZ, hopping on the first of two flights, on my way to Oahu!
