Today at the grocery store there was a Starling singing. He sat on the pipes close to the ceiling.

Hey!

Yep bean there.. I was gonna post  a link of "the Home depot Barn swallows" but I can't find it.

We have had  sparrows, starlings, Rock Pigeons, Kestrels, and bats flying around inside our hangers. On different occasions of course.

Coyotes, Ground hogs and Red Fox by the back doors..

Napper:)

I was watching two active Kestrel Nest's today they are less than 300 yards apart..  same Idea  Old exhaust vents in the side of our buildings.

Famously, there was a Cooper's Hawk in the (American) Library of Congress.

I would love to take my one year old to a bird sanctuary and wondered if any of you know of one.  We got to the Butterfly Sanctuary in Guelph and she loves it!

Yes, Bird Kingdom.  They also have bats there - and other critters!  :D

There's also Niagara Falls greenhouse which has a variety of birds flying around.  Last time I was there, it was still free admission and they also have turtles and fish there.  It's not a large place so doesn't take long to walk around indoors.  :D

Gee Napper, you shouldn't post stuff like this - makes me feel really stupid 'cause I'd probably take longer than them to figure it out! :)

I'll see your sparrows, starlings, pidgeons, swallows and Kestrels. I'll raise you an Am.Robin and my trump card...an Eastern Screech Owl a couple of years ago. We too have a very large hanger like warehouse settup. Sparrows, swallows and Robins are smart enough and quickly find the open doors we leave for them but Starlings? not very observant or smart.

Good spotting! Never leave your bins at home.
