Always nice to get out and enjoy a mild Spring day in the woods.  Even the commoners are a treat to see!

This male Downy Woodpecker kept landing in my hand for peanut bits.  Upon his return, he would sit on this branch, stare at me, tilting his head.  Funny boy!


Ever see a Woodpecker blink?  Now you have.


One more of my friend.


A Red-tail Hawk landing on a tree branch nearby was awesome!


Don't worry, he's just yawning.  My what big teeth he has!


Chipmunks are always great to cross paths with.


More peanut snatchers about these days; but I still like the Grackles (in small numbers).

Downies may be just about everywhere, but they always have such character. Love the head tilt! :D
