A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

We were on the platform watching the BCNHs around 6:45pm Sunday night.  Did we just miss you Irene?

And then saw the Beaver closer to 7:15pm on the marina side, where that little island piece is, and a pair of Red-necked Grebes nested last Spring.  I was following the Horned Grebes for a while.

You missed me by 15 minutes tops! I got to the platform around 7ish then did a quick walk around where I found the horned grebe and then back to the platform in hopes of seeing more swallows, sadly all the reeds seem to have been cut down, they usually like to perch on those and make for lovely pictures, not sure where they will perch now.

There are some reeds to the sides of the platform, will have to keep an eye out to see if they land there, some days too, you can see them sunning themselves on the platform itself, which is hilarious to see!
