After my run-in with the American Woodcock at Humber Bay yesterday afternoon, I can't get an image from a film out of my mind. It is of a woodcock, its large creepy eye all watery and blinky and its bill downturned. Problem is, I can't for the life of me place the film. I think a guy had it in a box as a pet, or maybe it was trapped or somebody caught it. The overall effect of the scene was very creepy and mysterious.
I watch a lot of trashy horror movies, pretentious independent films, and a lot of the big-ticket drama stuff that comes out, just to narrow down the search. (ie it probably wasn't a children's film or romantic comedy). And I get the feeling it was recent, like it came out on video in the past two years. (although I may just have rented it within that time).
Any ideas? This is driving me crazy(er).
