Saw this little bird (5-6") in an open grassy area in High Park yesterday; Hopping up and down from the grass to his little perch. Sorry, not a great shot. Eastern Kingbird? Eastern Phoebe? Something else? Thanks

Looks like an Eastern Phoebe, generally one of the first of the flycatchers to return after winter.

No wing bars and an all black bill = Eastern Phoebe. Good sighting and photo, Bruce

Did you notice it's tail constantly wagging up and down? Classic Eastern Phoebe.
