Hey!

Just after 5:pm this eve we were on the 401 heading towards Kitchener when we came upon a large (what's the term) of Turkey Vultures at Kelso just outside of Milton. Must have been 75 of them :!:

I am pretty sure I spotted a Fox sparrow at the corner of Hayesville rd and Huron rd. New Hamburg. We picked up new member of the family.

The Squirrels aren't aren't gonna like this Hee hee  :P  :!:

A group of vultures is called a "Venue".  Vultures circling in the air are a "Kettle".

That's an excellent location for sighting Turkey Vultures!  :D

Read somewhere that turkey vultures unlike most birds, rely on sense of smell. True?

From the Turkey Vulture Society website:  "The turkey vulture is one of the only birds in North America with a highly developed sense of smell.  This vulture relies both on its keen eyesight and powerful nose to search out food."

I sighted lots of Turkey Vultures on Thursday between Mississauga and Niagara Falls and lots at Niagara Falls itself.  :D 8)
