Hello birdfolks
Just a quick note to say that I was delighted to see a few firsts today at Colonel Sam:
Ovenbird, Eastern Towhee, Great Crested Flycatcher. Also, 5 different warbler species: black-and-white, yellow-rumped, black throated green, palm, black-throated blue. Plenty of white-throated sparrows and hermit thrushes as well. I was only there for a short stint, and got rained on a little bit. Anyhow, I had a great time, and was absolutely delighted to spend a little time with the beautiful ovenbird, foraging among the leaf litter. The bird was foraging, not me - to clarify.
Hope all is well, folks
David
p.s.  The GC Flycatcher is such a gorgeous bird! I never knew!

And in case anyone's interested, I've just ID'd a common yellowthroat as well. I'm an amateur with these warblers, but it certainly is fun...
