Pelee Park...  OMG!  Overload on bird sightings.  18 Warbler species in one day.  But I lack the patience for those bouncy little buggers and a lens to catch them way up in the trees.  It was still amazing to say the least, being able to watch them for lengthy amounts of time.

Here are some of the more co-operative birds or neat catches...

I don't think this Oriole could have sat on a better branch for me.

I think Barn Swallows are my fave of the Swallows I see.  So colorful!

A male Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

I never saw a Black & White Warbler until our trip.  There were many.  The only way to describe them is that they are like Nuthatches how they run up, down and around the trees.

This Cerulean Warbler caused quite a stir and people were pushing and shoving, pulling their friends in to get a good look at him.

I was so happy to finally see a Blackburnian Warbler, and watched him for many minutes up above me.  He was on my list of hopefuls to see at Pelee.

And lastly, the Eastern Towee near the tip was a real treat.  We then saw 3 pairs at Carden later in the week!

Nice series, Pelee is a great place when the warblers come through.

Definitely going to be an annual adventure.  I can't believe some people I know go to Pelee from Toronto just for one day.

We stayed at the Days Inn...and I believe it was full, though we spent so little time at the hotel we hardly noticed.
