I spent the last two mornings up at Long Sault and all in all saw some wonderful birds.
10 warbler species in total: yellow, common yellowthroat, black-throated green, chestnut-sided, ovenbird, N. waterthrush, nashville, pine, mourning (three or four birds for sure- including some excellent close-ups)- 2 pairs of blue-winged- again some excellent close ups. Such a glorious little bird.
-veery, wood thrush
-several scarlet tanagers
-r.b grosbeak
-5m 2f indigo buntings
-1m 1f eastern bluebird
-a quick look at a black billed cuckoo
-E. pee wee, great crested flycatcher
-2m E. towhee
-2 grasshopper (one excellent close up), 3 clay coloured sparrows (two great close-ups), 10+ field sparrows, 2 savannnah sparrows
