I know its not as exciting as all the baby hawks but..it is my first Great Blue Heron of the season! woohoo
I was thrilled to see this guy when I was checking on the Grebes this morning (and both Grebes are sitting on nests!keep your fingers crossed for baby Grebes)

Great shot Irene - I really like the fan of feathers at the bottom of his neck.  I've never noticed that before.

Thanks Moira, I never noticed it before either with my other shots, I thought it was interesting.
