Killdeer nesting

I work in S.Mississauga almost Oakville and we've had a busy spring. Aside from our resident Kestrels and Mockingbirds nesting, we had a failed poorly chosen nest site of a couple of CG's in our parking lot. They were perhaps predated upon. Most successful this year though not rare is a nesting pair of Killdeer in our parking lot. The ground nest has 4 eggs amongst some debris near a concrete wall. The parents have been most vocal and demonstrative by way of distraction.  The last day or so has been very quiet with mom? on the nest and very still. I think the hatch date is close. Earlier she did stand up and I still saw 4 eggs. Many staff are alerted and are watching after them. Just wish we could communicate to them that they have nothing to fear. It's funny to see people walking in detours to their cars so as no to disturb as much. I have pictures sent to my e-mail but I don't know how to post them here.

Awesome!!
HaHa I know where you work, so count on me to be lurking in your parking lot to get a picture of those super cute snow cones with legs.
I absolutely LOVE baby Killdeers.
Keep me updated Ron.
Thanks for posting.
