Let me say first...IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO RAIN TODAY! Went to Milne Dam Conservation Park in Markham and saw an Osprey, at least two GBH mostly hanging around together, a male and a female Black-Crowned Night Heron (almost bumped in to the male!), and various other birds (Eastern Kingbird, Yellow Warbler, American Yellow Finch, Robins, Crows, Mallard ducks and ducklings, Canada Geese, Red-winged black bird, and several other "brown jobs" my limited experience and knowlege won't let me identify). Also saw a couple of beavers. I took pictures of the Osprey but they didn't turn out as well as I would have liked. You can check one out here http://www.flickr.com/photos/64018347@N ... otostream/ and I aslo put one up of the male Night Heron.

Just couldn't resist going back to Milne park to see if I could catch that Osprey again and perhaps take a better pic. Caught site of him as he had just taken off to see him fly away letting out a few screeches which is why I was able to confirm it was him and not something else. Didn't hear or see him again the whole morning. Otherwise a quiet day there. A GBH being the most interesting thing. I posted a picture of the female Night Heron from yesterday on my flickr page for anyone interested.

Caught up with this guy again today and was able to get a few better pictures (can be seen at the link in my original post). Spoke to someone who works at the park and it turns out the Ospreys are residents at the park. The nest is on a man-made set-up accross from the dam a little to the right.
