I checked up on the Coopers Hawk nest I had been watching. The young fledged in the beginning of July. I went there yesterday and saw two of the young in the area ,there was a half eaten young Robin on the ground where they were perched.
Later that day mom showed up she called to announce her presence ,it was different call not a typical Coopers hawk shriek , after she left the young one went to the ground by a bush and there was another half eaten bird on the ground,I think she must have placed it there. He grabbed the bird ,hopped around a bit and proceeded to eat it, at this point the other young was no where to be seen, the half eaten Robin was still laying  were it was earlier

Without the second image, I would have assumed the first was a tame bird.   Very nice.
