I hope the heat has been treating you well?
First, some purple martins hanging around a telephone pole. Then, once more with feeling. Last: kingfishers at happy frolic...

Great job on the kingfisher pair. The greenish water adds much to the pic. Nice reflections.

Nice ones David.  I can never find a Kingfisher quick enough (being me) to get a pic or that lets me get close enough.

Purple Martins are awesome!

Thanks folks! I was lucky with the kingfishers; mostly I was interested in the great blue herons when this pair of k.fishers buzzed by...

Great shots,the Martin feeding the young and a pair of Kingfishers flying by and clearly showing the male ,female markings.Awesome shot.

Birdfolks, I want to thank you for the kindly comments. The kingfishers photo is only a snap; it took itself! Dumb luck!
Anyhow, these birds are making me giddy but in my heart I miss the winterducks and shorebirds...I wish I was a tough guy, I'd spend my summers on the tundra where all the good birds go...
