Yellow Warbler Feeds Monster Cowbird Baby!

Ah, brood parasitism! I'd long heard about such, but was delighted to see it with my own eyes...these were taken a couple of weeks ago but I forgot to post them...no need to feel sad or bad about the small warbler exhausting itself to feed the enormous fake offspring...such is nature's way...

Fantastic shots! If the warbler disappears it was probably eaten - by it's own young! :)

I know! I know! It's truly ridiculous! Sorry about the bad sharpening job on photo #3. I must have been inebriated? Also, it's time for a new lens and a possible switch to Canon (the dark side) and the whole thing, frankly, is really steaming my cabbage! Brood parasitism is nifty and interesting!
