Unidentified Shorebird (but he's cute and small)
on:
August 26, 2011, 04:20:09 PM
Hello
I hope it's alright; I've posted twice in two days. I took a picture of this shorebird this morning. Does anyone know the identity of this little bird?
Thank you for your consideration,
Jack Breakfast

That's a Solitary Sandpiper. Note the eye-ring and spotted back.
Nice picture.

Beautiful shot of the sandpiper, I love how the water has drops in the back and so smooth in the front to see the perfect reflection of the bird too
nice composition on this one and nice find

Nice shot.
As you might guess from my avatar, Solitary Sandpiper is one of may favourites.

Thank you kindly! I wouldn't have known the bird was a solitary sandpiper if not for the expertise of some of the smart folks on this board...
