Not sure about posting pics of non-Canadian birds, but thought you may like to see egrets/herons behaving like a flock of pigeons.

Flying around in flocks of 50-60. From a distance thought they were just a flock of pigeons. Never seen so many behaving as a group.

I see Snowy Egrets in the mix (golden feet), but the rest aren't.

Taken in Hong Kong.

Yes the other bit was the mix of 2 different species.

I think what you refer to as Snowy are also known as Little Egrets and the one with the black feet Intermediate Egrets. Both are about the same size.

Little Egret is the Old World sister species of Snowy Egret.

Bobo, you have made me crazy again! I am moving to Hong Kong! Not right away, but soon! Well, really I'm not, but shrikes, those are some hot-shot sights!

Jack why do you think I come here again and again? Alright, lright I have family here - but the sights are amazing. Biggest plus for me is that everything is within strike distance - no ghastly hours of driving just to catch a heron or a butterfly. Just walk out and the streets too are fascinating places to shoot. Any no grumpy bad eyes when you take pics of people.

Just the other day I was out walking and this black kite stopped by on a nearby lamp post for a good while. Just my luck camera was not with me.

But of course, looking like a tourist does help
