On a recent trip to Bancroft, I was able to get some shots of a Male & Female Ruffed Grouse, all in the same spot.

Male Ruffed Grouse, all puffed out, doing his peacock impression.



Female with crest up.



Female with crest down.



Can you spot the 2 grouse in this tree? Talk about camouflage!

Your are right lovempt! I thought I had a photo with 3 in it but couldn't find it, i guess they were so camouflaged they even fooled the photographer!

Gary, it is in the top right hand corner standing on the same branch as the bird in the bottom center. It is behind some branches, and it's head is in front of the green evergreen background. I can post a larger photo if that helps. Don't feel bad, I missed it too, and I was the one who took the photo!!
