I thought you may be interested that we saw two owls fly by our backyard at noon today (30Dec2011). They were not big owls, maybe the size of the local hawks, and very light brown in colour. There may have been three owls, we're not sure if the third one was one of the first two that flew off together. A cat walking along the sound wall spooked them from their roost in a clump of trees. The owls came in from the field adjacent to Eastgate Parkway (Mississauga).
