Thanks to that post... or should I say thanks to Moira for reading that post and letting me know... we saved ourselves a very long drive for nothing.
I emailed someone who lives out there and I was told the owl made a "very brief" appearence Saturday. It seems it is now hunting off road and out of sight.
For anyone who had planned to go out there to see the Great Grey, I suggest holding off untill there are more consistent sightings. (if there will be) I have been out there twice and had great success both times. I had no problem with plans to go a third time on Sunday or even a fourth time taking someone who couldn't make it there on their own, so trust me when I say if I'm not going to make the drive out there right now, it's not worth going.
