Hi everyone.  I was wandering around Maplewood Park this morning between 9:30-11:00am.  (East side of Glen Erin Dr., just North of Aquitaine Ave.) Sighted the following:

Blue Jays
Chickadees

Cooper's Hawks x 2 (1m, 1f) - lots of communication happening and very active hawks, flying around in the woods, gathering twigs, breaking down small branches and building up a nest in the NW corner, quite visible from paved trail!

Crows x 2 - extremely riled up due to Cooper's Hawks.

Downy Woodpeckers x 2 (1m, 1f) - hammering up a storm!
Hairy Woodpeckers x 2 (1m, 1f) - hammering up a storm!
House Sparrows
Red-breasted Nuthatches

Afterwards, walked around Lake Aquitaine from 11am - 12:3pm (SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre).  Sighted the following:

Canada Geese
Cardinals
Chickadees
Grackles - with nesting material
House Sparrows
Mallards
Mourning Doves - with nesting material

Red-winged Blackbirds (males) - no females yet, thank goodness - the back of my head is safe for another day!

Robins
Song Sparrow x 1
